Pike Bay Township Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 Regular Monthly Meeting / 7PM Meeting called to order at 7 pm by Richard Baird followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Richard Baird, Linda Barsness, Reuben St. Cyr, Michael Reyes, Ryan Erickson, Arvin Gieseke, and Mary Almendinger Absent: none Guests: Zeb Hemsworth, Alan Olson-Cass Lake Times Agenda: Motion to approve revised agenda by Ryan Erickson, Reuben St. Cyr second, carried . Public Comment: none Minutes and Records: Motion to approve minutes of Regular Monthly Board Meeting held June 11th, 2019 by Linda Barsness, Ryan Erickson second, carried. Old Business: Motion to approve Storlie Construction bid of $7,500.00 to brush trees on Newstrand Road by Ryan Erickson, Reuben St. Cyr second, carried. No road work will be done on road adjacent to Cass Lake Lodge. Chloride update. Knife River has not been able to schedule. Ryan Erickson will contact Cass County for a bid. Wilkenson Township will schedule the boom trimming for trees on Wilkenson Road. New Business: Motion to approve Resolution for Sah-Kah-Tay Beach Resort liquor license by Linda Barsness, Ryan Erickson second, carried. No motion to approve Permit Approval from Century Link regarding permission to place, construct and maintain node equipment at 15224 Bayview Loop Road since this is a Forestry Road. Motion to approve moving CD from First National Bank and Riverwood Bank and investing at 2.17 percent for 1 year at Security State Bank by Ryan Erickson, Reuben St. Cyr second, carried. Inspected building for necessary repairs. Estimates will be obtained to review costs and custodian will be instructed to address some issues. Minnesota Great River Road Regional Meeting is Monday, August 5th, 2019 2 pm-3:30 pm at Beltrami County History Center, Bemidji. Cass County Economic Development Corp. 22nd Annual Meeting is Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 at 5 pm, Leech Lake Event Center, Walker. Financial Report: July disbursements for Checks #15100 thru #15133 and 4 electronic transfers totaling $17,463.78. These figures include the end of month payroll for June, and mid-June for the Police officers, and the bills that were received through 7/9/2019. An additional check #15144 to Meadowbrook Insurance for Police Liability Insurance for $8,853.77 was approved. Cash balance statement does not reflect this amount. Clerk Report: Contacted Wilkinson Township regarding trimming trees along 144th Street (Wilkenson Road). Thank you note to City of Cass Lake for sweeping our streets. Updated Road Sign Policy and Road Sign Inventory Sheet. Got Storlie Construction bill corrected regarding duplicate billing from April. Attended Clerk Training. Met with Arvin Gieseke, Treasurer at First National Bank to discuss CD renewal. Filed IRS Form 720 Quarterly Federal Excise Tax Return. Submitted information to Miller McDonald for 2nd Quarter filings.
