Pike Bay Township December 12, 2017 Regular Monthly Meeting / 7PM Tony South called the meeting to order at 7 PM followed by the pledge of allegiance. Present: Tony South, Richard Baird, Milt Lee, Linda Barsness, Arvin Gieske, Mary Almendinger Absent: Jason Ball Guests: Zeb Hemsworth, Jeffrey Amey, Tim Norton, Nancy Foster, John Amey, Dawn Johnson, Madison Brewster, Jenna Amey, Jadene Amey Agenda: Motion to approve agenda Minutes and Records: Motion to approve minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting November 14, 2017 by Milt Lee, Richard Baird second, carried. Old Business: New Business: Swearing in Ceremony for Officer Jeffrey Amey. Tim Norton made a presentation concerning our responsibilities as a Township and expectations from the county for Emergency Management. Next meeting is January 30, 2018 at 1 pm at Backus Land Department. Milt Lee made a motion to approve a resolution for Off-Sale Liquor License for Orton Oil Company (formerly Palace Junction), Richard Baird second, carried. Correspondence: Darren Laesch, from the DOT sent the turnback files on Upper Cass Lake Frontage Road. He is still determining right of way and legal access. Financial Report: December disbursements for Check # 13860 thru # 13901 and 3 electronic transfers totaling $20,680.11 . These figures include the end of month Payroll for November, and mid November for the Police officers, and the bills that were received through 12/12/2017. Motion to approve disbursements as presented by Milt Lee, Linda Barsness second, carried. There are some concerns regarding sanding and some slippery roads. Contact Cass County to compare prices for doing maintenance on the paved roads.
