Regular Monthly Meeting
February 13, 2018 / 7PM
Tony South called the meeting to Order at 7 pm followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Amos LaDuke, Patsy Gordon, Birdie Lyons, Kirk Titus, Scott Thompson, Zeb Hemsworth, Jeff Amey, Levi Brown, Eric Lueth, Donald Finn, Elizabeth Sherman, Leslie Harper, David Hare, Mike Reyes.
Motion to approve agenda by Richard Baird, Milt Lee second, carried.
A complaint from Amos LaDuke against Zeb Hemsworth was given to the board. Multiple other tribal members spoke out about the unfair treatment they’ve received from the Pike Bay Police.

Kirk Titus, a representative from the Cass County Land Department discussed the sale of a Parcel located in Pike Bay Township. The sale was approved by Richard Baird, Milt Lee second, carried.
Motion to approve Resolution # 2018-001 to establish polling place for 2018 by Richard Baird, Milt Lee second, carried.
Treasurer, Arvin Gieske was to present a report on investments and recommendations on any changes but it was too late since there was only a 10 day grace period. It was tabled until the end of July.
Training for 2020 Census at various locations.
Town Law Review Training April 19th, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Burnsville, MN. This was tabled to old business for March.
Minnesota Mississippi River Parkway Commission Meeting February 20, 2018 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Beltrami County History Center.
Cass County Highway Department Informational Meeting in March 2018.
Correspondence regarding application for acquisition of land to be held in trust for the benefit of the Leech Lake Band of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe.
Faith in Action request for donation at Annual Meeting.
February disbursements for Check #13946 thru #14019 and 3 electronic transfers totaling $36,269.82. These figures include the end of month Payroll for January, and mid January for the Police officers, and the bills that were received through 2/12/2018.

Tony South presented the Fire Department Meeting report stating that Ben will be stepping down as chief in about 6 months and Arvin accepted the position as Treasurer temporarily.
